Kit Bennett is a songwriter and musician based in South East Wales, UK. Her voice is often likened to that of Annie Lennox and Kirsty MacColl, and her piano song style is a luscious, catchy blend of blues and country, with a peppering of grunge-rock.
Kit released two records under the moniker Miss Kitty: A full-length album in 2020: Kiss & Tell and a four-track EP in 2023 entitled Game of Chess. These two collections of songs form the basis of her performances, along with other currently unreleased material.
She performs with her long-term partner James Ashbury, a guitar wizard from Birmingham, who runs his guitar teaching business and social media platforms, under the name Guitar Push.
When she is not engaged in musical activity, Kit will most likely be found either tending to her extensive vegetable garden, pretending to write a book or climbing the beautiful Welsh hills. Both Kit and James are former members of the Folk-Rock trio Wildflowers, along with Kit’s younger sister Siddy Bennett.
